Paramount Pictures has acquired the rights to Justin Bieber‘s life story and is planning to make a biopic—not a documentary short, but a full-length biopic—starring the teen sensation himself.

But while you might think this is just a fancy way of saying “concert film,” Bieber promises that they’ll be “telling the story.”

Documentary specialist Davis Guggenheim (An Inconvenient Truth, It Might Get Loud, Waiting for Superman) is going to direct the feature, which will feature plenty of performance footage.

The plans are still in the works, but a major Hollywood studio (not Disney) has put in motion a Bieber 3D concert film. Should all details come together, sources say the project will race into production for a November 2010 release date.

What better way for Justin Bieber to begin his transition from floppy-haired pop star to Serious Grown-up™ than by appearing on a CBS crime procedural that dispatches with its guest stars in the most graphic ways imaginable?

On Thursday, CBS said that Mr. Bieber has been cast in the season premiere of “C.S.I.”, which is scheduled for Sept. 23. According to a news release, the 16-year-old singer will play Jason McCann, “a troubled teen who is faced with a terrible decision regarding his only brother—a decision that leads him into an explosive confrontation with the CSIs.” The release added that this appearance is “the beginning of an emotional story that will conclude later in the season,” suggesting that Mr. Bieber will return to induce further squeals from Laurence Fishburne, Jerry Bruckheimer and the whole “C.S.I.” gang in subsequent episodes.

A gaggle of Justin Bieber fans descended on the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Tuesday night to see their pop idol in concert. It was the latest stop on the Biebs’ My World Tour, which kicked off earlier this summer in Hartford, Connecticut. And judging by the response after the show, Bieber definitely delivered.

Bieber’s young fans screamed and waved multicolored glow sticks in the air, while their parents stuffed cotton balls in their ears, sipped on wine or text messaged, seemingly oblivious to the growing anticipation by their children.

When the two large screens on either side of the stage clicked on and announced that it was almost showtime, the decibel level was off the charts. Fans pulled out their cell phones and began taking silly shots of each other, waving their hands in the air, and at times, singing their favorite Bieber songs in unison.

If there’s anyone who knows what Justin Bieber looks for in a lady, it’s his best female friend, Jessica Jarrell. Jessica is currently rocking out with the Biebs on his My World 2.0 tour as one of his opening acts, and stopped into the West Coast office of HollywoodLife.com to tell us the key to the teen singing sensation’s heart!

To the surprise of hip-hop fans, the16-year-old took to Twitter on Monday to announce his one-on-one session with the legendary West Coast rapper/producer.

With over 246 million views, Justin Bieber‘s “Baby” music video has claimed the coveted honor of being YouTube’s most-watched music video of all time! The title previously belonged to Lady Gaga‘s “Bad Romance,” but Bieber fans made sure Justin was on top and surpassed Gaga’s views on Thursday night. When he heard the news, Justin tweeted, “What is goin on with the ‘Baby’ video on YouTube is crazy … I started on YouTube so the support … well I just need to say thank u.” But the race is still tight as “Bad Romance” has well over 245 million views. Looks like it’s the Beliebers Vs. the Little Monsters!

Still, there’s no hard feelings between the two artists. “I just need to say that @ladygaga is an incredible artist who I have great respect 4,” Justin tweeted. “And her vid is incredible … so it doesn’t matter who has more views, what matters is that we have incredible fans that support us … that I’m sure we are both grateful 4.” Aww!
