In what is being described as one of the worst recorded earthquakes in recorded history, hundreds of people are feared dead in the South American nation of Chile. Though it may be days before we find out the true nature of the devastation, some stars are already expressing their sorrow and support.
Teen star Justin Bieber, who is slated to perform on “Saturday Night Live” April 10, had this to say though his Twitter account:
“Just saw on the news about the earthquake in chile and the possible tsunamis. My prayers go out to those people and their families affected”
Former “American Idol” contestant Adam Lambert had this to say: “Sending light and love to the people of chile, Hawaii and Japan.” Fellow “Idol” contestant Kris Allen said that his “heart and prayers go out to the people in Chile.”
Meanwhile, former “That 70’s Show” star / popular Twitter celebrity Ashton Kutcher posted a link for people to try and find potential earthquake survivors.
This is breaking news, so I will have more on celebrities trying to make a difference as it breaks. Feel free to share your thoughts, prayers, and condolences below.
